Ingredients you need to make Bubble Tea
- 1 teabag Orange Pekoe tea or Earl Grey Tea
- 1 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of tapioca pearls
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/4 cup sugar or sweetener of choice
How to make Boba Tea
- Brew the tea: In a teapot or heatproof container, steep the teabag in boiled water and let it sit until the tea cools. For a bolder flavor, make sure the brew is very dark.
- Make simple syrup: In a saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of sugar. Heat the mixture on medium-high, stirring until the water boils and the sugar fully dissolves. Set it aside to cool.
- Cook the tapioca pearls: Follow the cooking instructions provided on the packaging of the tapioca pearls. If using quick-cooking tapioca pearls, cook them accordingly. Once cooked, remove from the hot water, rinse with cold water, and add a few tablespoons of simple syrup to the cooked pearls, adjusting the sweetness to taste.
- Serve: In a drinking glass, pour the cooked tapioca pearls. Add ice cubes, brewed tea, milk, and a spoonful of simple syrup. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Enjoy your refreshing boba tea!
